Sore today & Stronger tomorrow

Carla Stapleton -
In 2015 I studied for my Raynor Massage qualification. Using this
qualification, I began to work in a Newton Abbot based clinic where I was
introduced to Ladies Rugby with the All Whites. It was whilst playing rugby
I developed an interest in the injury assessments and rehabilitation work our sports therapist carried out with the players. I decided I wanted to pursue this further and so I began studying for my Sports Therapy degree at Exeter College. I successfully graduated in 2022.
Alongside studying I worked pitch-side providing first aid, taping and
strapping, injury assessment, rehabilitation, and strategies to prevent re-
injury for the All Whites, Royal Marines, Devon Girls under 15’s, and a
range of Rugby 7’s Tournaments.
From 2015 to 2022 I also worked in various clinics in Newton Abbot and Exeter with a mixed clientele presenting with sport and lifestyle injuries.
In 2022 I graduated as an Aquacise Instructor and Zumba Instructor. In 2023 I also completed my training as a Pilates Instructor. I am planning to use these extra skill sets to enhance my understanding and enable me to
develop my client’s treatment plans.
In 2023 I re-developed and opened my own business “Active Bodies Fitness and Therapy” at The Hydro Hub, Seale Hayne, Newton Abbot. I am hoping to continue developing my skills with the addition of equipment-based
rehabilitation and the use of the hydro pool.

"I have suffered with mid-low back pain for around 7 years now and have tried absolutely everything to cure it. It is worst at night and significantly affects my sleep. I’ve been working with Carla for 6 weeks now and she has provided a personal service which is specifically tailored to my issues. Carla looks at the whole person, including lifestyle and has made recommendations focused on improved sleep. She has a thorough and methodical approach to identifying the issue and leaves no stone unturned. I would highly recommend Carla’s services and will be continuing to work with her in the future."
